The lettable area is large enough to provide around 26 covers. This might be open from mid morning to the evening and thus would supply not only hot drinks and snacks but soup and open sandwiches (for example) at lunch time and would also be able to compete for the early evening trade in competition with the pub which is often overbooked. A licence for the sale of alcohol with food would also attract custom. This proposal is one of the most attractive as it encourages visitors to linger. A good model is "Designs" cafe in Castle Douglas.
