Our family comes from Auchencairn (Rerrick). It seems the people who owned the Auchencairn Bakery were family to us. Some of our family immigrated to PA, USA, and a brother went to Australia. We have recently met the descendants in Australia, descendants of William John, and we are descendants of Robert Corrie and the Johnstone family. We have enjoyed tracing the family back to this wonderful town with such a rich history. Hope to visit someday in the next several years.

Thank you for the lovely web site. From my research I have found that my great great great grandfather Halliday was born in Auchencairn in 1799. I hope to visit one day.

I was fortunate enough to spend several months in the Auchencairn area.... I would have to say it is one of the most peaceful places I have visited in this world! The people are magnificient and the surrounding beauty is second to none!
